Schools bulletin Teachers Federation stop work meeting tomorrow

Schools bulletin Teachers Federation stop work meeting tomorrow – December 2016 (PDF version)

Teachers Federation members will be holding a statewide stop work meeting tomorrow, Thursday 8 December, from 8:30am until approximately 10am. Teachers Federation members will be voting on whether to endorse their new Award.

The PSA fully supports the Teachers Federation stop work meeting, as members voting on their pay and conditions is a vital part of any democratic union.

A spokesman for the NSW Department of Education has stated school principals are making appropriate local arrangements to ensure students are supervised during the meeting.

The PSA reminds our members to adhere to their statement of duties (SOD) and not to take on extra duties, such as the supervision of students. If members feel they are being pressured to undertake duties outside their SOD please contact the PSA Member Support Centre on 1300 772 679.
