Environment Protection Authority: member update, Friday, 17 March 2026
The PSA has been contacted by concerned members regarding the end of the Workforce Mobility Process. The PSA met with the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) on Thursday 12 March and raised those concerns directly with EPA management.
The EPA confirmed those who entered the mobility process on 19 December concluded the mobility program close of business Tuesday 3 March. At the time of meeting the EPA was awaiting concurrence from the Premier’s Department and will issue offers Voluntary Redundancy once that concurrence is received. Once offers of redundancy are received, you will have 10 days to accept.
Staff who entered mobility process on 15 January are due to conclude on Tuesday 17 March. Again, the EPA must wait for concurrence from the Premier’s Department, and once an offer of Voluntary Redundancy is received, members will have 10 days to accept or refuse the offer. The EPA committed that they will continue to consider potential internal placements up until the VR offer is accepted.
The EPA also clarified there were 28 positions still open for internal comparative assessment, however there were 32 individuals still on the Mobility process.
The PSA is scheduled to meet with management again on the afternoon of Thursday 19 March.
The PSA is calling a lunchtime members’ meeting and will take your concerns directly to management that afternoon.
