Changes to Code of Conduct

The PSA is aware that the Department of Education has sent a communication to all staff about changes to the Code of Conduct.

The Department wrote to your union on Friday to notify us it was intending to make the changes. There has been no formal consultation with your union prior to the changes being announced.

The General Secretary immediately raised our genuine concerns that there has been no consultation on this change with both the Minister for Education and Secretary of the Department.

This is a breach of consultation requirements, and the PSA is considering legal action.
Your PSA representatives have been reviewing the changes in detail to identify the risks to members and how it could impact your employment.

We will be keeping members informed as discussions progress.
