Condolences to NPWS firefighter killed in action

The Public Service Association (PSA) is saddened at the tragic loss of a Field Officer with the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), who was killed while engaged in firefighting activity on 7 December 2025 at the Pacific Highway Bulahdelah Fire.

The firefighter worked for NPWS over an extended period and was an experienced firefighter.

Firefighters who work in NPWS perform extremely difficult and dangerous work to protect the community. We are all saddened at this tragic loss.

The PSA will be sending industrial staff to support its members.
