Heritage Programs Directorate: Restructure in Sheep’s Clothing
The Department has paid homage to one of our favorite children’s stories and has presented the Heritage Programs Directorate with “restructuring” cleverly disguised as a realignment.
It seems that Heritage has conveniently misplaced the contact details of the Public Service Association (PSA), as they have yet to communicate with us on the matter, despite the Change Management Plan being distributed to affected staff in late October.
The PSA is unapologetically critical of the Department’s consistent failure to consult with the union and their employees.
Your industrial representatives have formally written to the Department, urgently requesting a meeting with senior management. Failure to engage will result in the next meeting being scheduled before the Industrial Relations Commission.
IMPORTANT NOTE
A reminder that the Heritage Members’ meeting is this Thursday 9 November 2023 from 1:00PM-2:00PM via Teams.

During the meeting, we will discuss matters affecting the agency and its members, providing a platform for you to voice your opinions and concerns.
Following this meeting, the PSA will be hosting a Departmental Committee (DC) meeting with your delegates. The DC meets four times a year to identify collective issues and discuss matters of significance. These discussions are then brought forward to the Department for action.
