Have Your Say: Your Employee Protections in the Home Care Transfer
PSA delegates and Assistant General Secretary, Steve Turner, have been negotiating the transfer agreement that will protect your rights, jobs and conditions in the privatisation of Home Care.
Following several months of discussions, four major differences remain between the PSA and the Government, preventing agreement being reached on the Home Care Transfer Package. A major concern is that the Government has still not confirmed that the Agreement reached would be contained in a legally enforceable deed.
Your Home Care Departmental Committee Delegates considered the Government’s response and resolved to:
A. Call on the Government to guarantee that the Agreement reached will be contained in a deed that can be legally enforced by the PSA on behalf of its members;
B. Campaign against the Government’s transfer package of up to 8 weeks payment, and highlight the discriminatory nature of this offer when compared to the package of 30 weeks given to employees in male dominated industries.
The PSA wants to ensure all members’ views and concerns are properly heard. Please take five minutes to complete the following short survey.
