Winter issue of Red Tape is out now
The winter edition of Red Tape celebrates 125 years of union wins.
The group of men meeting in Bridge Street in 1899 in 1899 would never have imagined that 125 years later a 40,000-member union would be fighting for the rights of NSW wokers.
The PSA’s 125th anniversary was the theme at this year’s annual conference. Red Tape relives the event, the guest speakers, and the award winners.
Our 125th birthday also gives us a chance to look back at the role the PSA CPSU NSW played in ridding NSW of a state government addicted to privatisation and wage suppression.
Our Child Protection in Crisis campaign continues, with staff walking out to save a system that is struggling to safeguard our most vulnerable kids. We cover the walkouts and talk about why this is so important for everyone in NSW.
Elsewhere we look at our new Junee office, celebrate a big win in Multicultural NSW and look at the future of public sector jobs in regional NSW.
As always, Red Tape has incisive columns, up-to-date news stories and the latest in books and podcasts.
We hope you enjoy the winter edition of the PSA CPSU NSW’s flagship magazine, Red Tape.
