ServiceFirst Bulletin re Privatisation (Outsourcing) – 23 March 2015 (PDF version)
The fight to stop the privatisation of ServiceFirst continues. As previously advised, PSA General Secretary Anne Gardiner recently presented a petition opposing the outsourcing of ServiceFirst to the Opposition Minister for Finance and Services, Peter Primrose.
Members meetings have since been held at both the McKell Building and at Unions NSW in Parramatta, where the following motion was passed:
“The Members of Service First – Office of Finance and Services will not support or assist the vendors in any other due diligence, workplace information or any assessment process until the department and Government commits to ceasing the off-shore outsourcing program and keeps all jobs within NSW.”
Members have expressed a willingness to take part in further actions. Following recent media it is vital that we keep the pressure on in the lead up to the election on March 28.
As such we have developed the following short survey in order for ALL members to have their say on what the next step is for members in ServiceFirst. Please complete the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ServiceFirstAction in order to have your say.
The PSA will be holding additional members meeting on Tuesday 24th March in order to officially vote on any action to be taken. Following feedback, members meeting have been arranged offsite at:
- Great Southern Hotel – 717 George Street, Lounge area, 12:30 – 1:30pm
- PJ’s Parramatta – 74 Church Street, 12:00 – 1:00pm
Please come to one of these meetings and make sure your voice is heard.
