SMH: Public servants live in fear of axe
NSW staff working in industrial relations, public transport or environment and heritage are feeling insecure in their jobs, while those auditing state finances or cleaning up corruption are feeling relatively safe.
A confidential Public Service Commission survey of public-sector workers suggests the O’Farrell government’s targeting of agencies including Sydney Water, the Office of Environment and Heritage, fisheries and RailCorp for job cuts is having a broader impact.
