The Supreme Court settlement, Monthly Attendance Returns, and Hours of Work Policy
It has now been almost two months since the introduction of the new Hours of Work Policy and time-recording requirements in Monthly Attendance Returns (MAR), which commenced on 1 August 2025 following the Supreme Court settlement with the Rural Fire Service (RFS).
In the month of August, members were required to work 147 hours across 21 days. However, multiple members have already reported working well in excess of the required 147 hours, with some members reportedly having their request for Overtime refused.
The PSA needs to fully understand the impact of these new arrangements on your workload, entitlements, compliance with the Award and the Supreme Court settlement.
