Water for the Environment realignment: members’ meeting
The Public Service Association has been notified of a proposed realignment within the Water for the Environment directorate and understand a town hall meeting was held on Thursday 5 March. The PSA understands the proposed change is part of a 10-year funding package secured by NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) to support the work.
The PSA wants your feedback
The proposed changes include changes to the structure, the deletion of some roles, creation of new roles and the conversion of eligible temporary staff to ongoing. The PSA welcomes the conversion of temporary staff to ongoing, secure public sector jobs, but is seeking your feedback to understand how the package of changes impact your work.
Management are aware of their obligations to consult meaningfully on organisational change and have expressly stated their desire for feedback to help refine the proposed structure.
Consultation is currently open and closes on Thursday 19 March.
Please send your feedback – whether positive, critical or neutral – to PSA Organiser Michael Parsons at
The PSA is also calling a members’ meeting to discuss the proposed changes.
