The PSA is seeking member endorsement for the following 2024-2027 pay rises for School Psychologists.
The PSA has worked hard with the support of members and delegates to ensure salary parity between School Counsellors and School Psychologists over recent years. These salary increases continue to maintain that parity.
In accordance with the Heads of Agreement between the PSA and the Department of Education for a three-year Salaries Award by consent, we propose that members accept the following pay-rises:
9 October 2024-8 October 2025: 3 per cent increase to salaries, for all classifications covered by the School Psychologists Award from the first full pay period on or after 9 October 2024 (excluding superannuation)
9 October 2025-8 October 2026: 3 per cent increase to salaries, for all classifications covered by the School Psychologists Award from the first full pay period on or after 9 October 2025 (excluding superannuation)
9 October 2026-8 October 2027: 3 per cent increase to salaries, for all classifications covered by the SP Award from the first full pay period on or after 9 October 2026 (excluding superannuation)
- An increase to superannuation of 0.5 per cent effective from 1 July 2025 and 1 July 2026
- An annual $1000 taxable, one-off ‘cost-of-living’ adjustment payment, plus superannuation, conditional on the 12-month annual average Sydney Consumer Price Index rate exceeding 4.5 per cent in the year to March quarter. This payment is available in any year of the agreement, with the trigger commencing in the March quarter. The payment would be pro-rated for employees who do not work full time and will be paid in July of each year.
The PSA supports members voting YES to endorse the making of a three-year Salaries Award ensuring pay rise certainty for the period 2024 -2027.
