TfNSW 2.04% PAY RISE COMING SOON
As we previously advised the PSA and combined Unions came to an in principle agreement with TfNSW on the following Awards:
- Roads and Maritime Services School Crossings Supervisors Award 2019;
- Transport for New South Wales and Sydney Metro Salaries and Conditions of Employment Award 2019; and
- Roads and Maritime Services Consolidated Salaried Award 2019.
Since we reached in principle agreement the PSA has been working with TfNSW to have the Awards filed in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC).
The Awards were filed late July with a hearing in early August. The IRC directed TfNSW to file final orders to give effect to their decision to make the Awards; which was done on 24 August 2021.
With the Awards made by the IRC, we anticipate that TfNSW will soon be passing on the 2.04 per cent pay rise. (The maximum permitted under the NSW Government wages cap, inclusive of the 0.5 per cent Superannuation Guarantee)
TfNSW members have seen some of the largest increases in the NSW Public Sector. When other NSW Government agencies were receiving 0.3 per cent the PSA secured a 2.5 per cent pay rise for TfNSW members.
Without the PSA members would not have received the maximum pay rise permitted under NSW Governments Wages Cap for the past two years. Noting this year, the maximum under the NSW Government Wages cap included 0.5 per cent Superannuation Guarantee increase.
This is why it is important to be a member of your union. If you are not a member of the PSA join here or if you would like to know more attend your next PSA meeting.
