As members would know the PSA has been campaigning for better training for SAOs working in Science. The PSA identified the issues around SAOs not being properly trained and supported when moving in to the Science area by working with the SAO Science Advisory Group over the last six months.
The PSA is pleased to see that, in this round of conferences, the Department of Education is running two Science focused courses.
We encourage all SAOs working in science who have not undertaken introductory training to register for these courses. You can register for these courses here:

Intro to Science Part B (Basic lab techniques & chemical preparation and disposal)
The PSA is continuing to work with our Delegates and the Department to ensure quality training for SAOs working in Science.
