1976 State Public Services Federation (SPSF) is established to give state PSAs across Australia a national voice.
1975 The PSA wins the Equal Pay Case for Female Salaried Officers employed by the Department of Motor Transport.
1974 Separate eligibility lists for men and women in the NSW public service are abolished.
1973 The Women’s Auxiliary is renamed Women’s Council.
1972 The equal pay principle is extended to include the principle of equal pay for work of equal value.
1971 Maternity leave in the NSW public service is extended to unmarried women and temporary employees.
1970 PSA membership exceeds 32,000
