Clarifying bulletin regarding PSA Submission to Broderick Review

This morning you would have received a PSA bulletin titled “We want to hear from you” containing the survey for Parliamentary Staff to complete to assist in compiling the PSA’s Submission into the Broderick review.

The PSA is very supportive of the Broderick review into bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct in NSW Parliament and encourage members to also directly participate in that review if you have not already. We are in the process of drafting a submission to that review and have sent out two surveys (one to MOPS staff and the other to NSW Parliamentary Staff) to help us fully represent our members’ views in the PSA Submission that will be made.

We note that some MoPS staff may have received both the Parliamentary Staff and MoPS surveys. Due to the level of information provided by members when they join the PSA it can be difficult to differentiate between Parliamentary Staff and MoPS members on our system. The survey sent this morning is aimed towards Parliamentary Staff at Parliament House.

We understand that MoPS members have already been sent a survey and your MoPS Delegates are working through those responses to this survey in order to complete the written submission to the Broderick Review.

The survey sent out this morning is intended to capture the experiences of Parliamentary Staff who are employed at NSW Parliament. If you are employed as Parliamentary Staff member, please fill out this survey .

If you are a MOPs member and did not participate in the earlier MoPS survey, but still wish to contribute to the PSA’s submission, please email or contact the Member Support Centre on 1300 772 679.
