Congratulations to the NSW Winner of School Team of the Year: Shoalhaven High School
The PSA is proud to announce the NSW winner of the National School Team of the Year Award.
Congratulations to the Support Staff at Shoalhaven High School.
The nomination for Shoalhaven High School highlighted the full breadth of what has been one of the most challenging years ever for school staff. The PSA members at Shoalhaven High School will now be submitted to our federal union, the CPSU SPSF, to go into the draw to win National School Support Team of the year.
While we weren’t able to throw an event for the team this year due to safety restrictions, we are able to promote their wonderful work, the members of the team and the union values of fairness, equality and solidarity that they bring to every day at school.
There were nominations from across NSW for the award with many amazing stories shared. The PSA would like to make special mention of two teams that came very close to taking out the NSW finalist spot. Doonside High School and Temora High School both stood out as outstanding teams with strong union membership and a clear commitment to their school community.
But the warmth and respect that the school community has for the School Support Staff at Shoalhaven High School shone through so clearly in their nomination, it really stood out.
Don’t forget to send us your PSA Recognition Week pictures!
If you are having an event, no matter how small, the PSA wants to hear from you. Send us your pictures so that we can promote the outstanding work that our members do every day supporting the school community.
