Department of Justice flex – June 2016 (PDF version)

Negotiations are continuing with respect to the Justice flex agreement. The previous bulletin can be seen HERE.

On 6 May 2016, the PSA sent members an explanation of the bargaining parameters. These parameters were able to be set by the NSW Government due to the wages policy they introduced, which the PSA fought and has always opposed.

The bulletin also explained the PSA has written to the Department calling for a moratorium on negotiations and a freeze in the notice period, as the parameters are completely contrary to the NSW Premier’s statement on International Women’s Day, supporting flexible work. That bulletin, which includes further details can be seen HERE.

The Department has given notice that they will terminate all agreements by 14 October 2016.  We reserve the right to challenge this in the NSW Industrial Relations Commission. To ensure the best result for members we are proceeding with negotiations with the Department.

On Monday 23 May, the PSA met with management to discuss the Department’s proposal and put forward the outcomes for members. The PSA’s non-exhaustive list of responses to the Department’s proposal can be seen HERE.

The PSA will continue fight to achieve the best outcome, possible for members in this agreement. The list of delegates on the committee is below:
