Role of the Delegate and Dealing with workplace issues training coming to the North Coast.

This two day training course will be run in a venue in the Ballina area 12 and 13 April.

Are you a new Delegate or a member wanting to know what the role of the Delegate is? Are you an experienced Delegate and would like a refresher? Then come to this training. Members can attend 1 or both days depending on what suits their needs.

12 April-Delegate and Workplace leaders- Role of the Delegate

This one day course is designed to give workplace delegates the skills and knowledge they need to build power at their workplace. You will explore the importance of unions, history and values that underpin them. You will develop your skills utilising tools such as mapping and recruitment conversations and problem-solving frameworks to build power.

13 April- Dealing with Workplace Issues.

This course equips Delegates with skills and knowledge to assist members facing disciplinary action or experiencing workplace bullying. You will learn to apply problem-solving framework when resolving members issues. You will be able to share and apply knowledge of rights and entitlements. You will develop plans when helping members with workplace disciplinary.

All union members are entitled to 12 days special leave every 2 years for union training.
