Safety and Wellbeing consultation extended

The PSA has been advised that Department of Customer Service (DCS) commenced consultation for the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Issue Resolution Procedure and form on 15 July 2024.  Unfortunately PSA did not receive the documents at the same time as employees.

As a consequence, PSA members now have a further two weeks to provide any feedback in relation to the procedure.

The DCS WHS Issue Resolution Procedure aims to inform our employees how WHS issues are resolved and to outline the pathways to efficiently and effectively manage WHS issues that remain unresolved.

The pathways are designed to ensure reasonable efforts are undertaken to achieve a timely, final, and effective resolution.

This procedure is consistent with the NSW Work Health and Safety legislation and the DCS policy framework.

The Procedure is supported by the DCS WHS Issue Resolution Form and supports the DCS WHS Consultation and Communication Procedure and the DCS Incident and Hazard Reporting Procedure (currently in draft).

Members of the DCS Legal Services team, DCS Governance team, DCS People Services and DCS Safety and Wellbeing team provided input during the development of this procedure.

The procedure and form replaces the following:

  • DFSI WHS Issue Resolution Procedure WHSMS 1.008 V2.3 June 2015
  • DFSI WHS Issue Resolution Form 1.008A July 2015.

Please provide any feedback to or 1800 772 679 quoting reference number 224039 by close of business Monday 12 August 2024.
