The first full meeting of the new Sheriffs Officers Vocational Branch Advisory Group (SOVBAG) committee meeting was held Wednesday, 23 September 2020. The new SOVBAG committee is now more inclusive and representational of all staff working in the Sheriff’s Office (SHO).
The PSA executive recently approved a rule change to the SOVBAG Constitution and Rules Charter that allow’s other staff groups working in the Sheriff’s Office, membership status in SOVBAG.
The SOVBAG committee now includes Court Officer’s, Pamela McKenzie and Stephanie Nikolovska and Civil Operations Unit (COU) Grace Muir as representatives.
The new SOVBAG committee will meet with the Sheriff of NSW, Tracey Hall and her executive team to discuss workplace, industrial, policies and WHS issues that affect staff in the Office of the Sheriff JCC on Thursday, 24 September 2020.
The PSA and SOVBAG will advocate strongly on all group and individual issues that affect SHO staff. Your SOVBAG committee is only as strong as it’s members – so get involved and encourage non-members to join to ensure you have a strong voice to will fight to protect your rights at work.
