PSA members covered by the Fisheries Employees Award have voted to receive an interim salary increase of 3 per cent plus superannuation from 1 July 2024. Additionally, they chose to reserve the PSA’s right to seek a further increase in wages or conditions, either by negotiation or by arbitration.

The Government has committed to expeditious negotiations with the PSA regarding a new Fisheries Award.

Ninety-five per cent of respondents to our Fisheries Survey opted to accept the 3 per cent offer and further negotiations over the three-year deal offered to most NSW Public Sector workers.

This offer will be backdated to the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2024.

The PSA will now meet with the State Government to formalise the pay increase.
