We have received advice that Ron Hunter, your longstanding PSA CPSU NSW Organiser, passed away on Tuesday night.

Ron had been employed by the PSA since 2003 as an Organiser in the Newcastle region and had been a member and delegate for many years.

He was dedicated to the rights of workers, particularly those of you at the University.

Ron was a passionate believer in not only the values and work of the PSA CPSU NSW but the trade union movement as a whole.

Many of you will have experienced his support over the years.

He was unfailingly kind and considerate of the needs of others but quite prepared to take on a fight when necessary and indulge in robust discussion with management where required.

He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and members of the PSA CPSU NSW.
