Members will be aware of the Day of Action on 8 June to get a proper pay rise for Public Servants who have for so long been affected by an unfair wages cap.

The Day of Action stems from a resolution from our membership that Public Servants cease work for 24 hours on that day.

Members of Parliament Staff are not defined as Public Servants and are employed under the Members of Parliament Staff Act 2013 without the same protections.

In solidarity with other PSA members the action we seek from  Members of Parliament Staff staff who are at Parliament House on the day  is to attend the rally where possible.

It is important to note that the pay rise for Public Servant has traditionally been passed on to Members of Parliament Staff.
