You would have seen the PSA bulletin regarding 24-hour industrial action across the PSA entire membership, including Transport for NSW (TfNSW). You can view that bulletin HERE.
With such a diverse membership across the NSW Government, including TfNSW, different types of action will take place, including strikes. However, due to the nature of their work, some members will take part in other actions in solidarity.
Due to some of the safety-critical functions performed at the Regional Traffic Operations Centre (RTOC) the PSA is directing members to engage in the following industrial action:
- Those rostered to essential safety critical work on console duties are to wear a campaign shirt or badge during all hours of Wednesday 8 June 2022.
- Those rostered to non-essential duties, including the training day, are directed to support the 24-hour stop work on Wednesday 8 June 2022.

What are my rights when taking industrial action?
You are not breaking the law when taking industrial action. You are following lawful directions from your union.
If issues are raised with you about your compliance with the direction to strike, provide the person raising the issues with you with a copy of this bulletin and politely explain that you have been directed by your union to stop work for 24 hours.
Remember, only PSA members can take action. If your colleagues have not yet joined, make sure they do as soon as possible! They can join HERE.
