You may be aware Transport for NSW (TfNSW) has announced it will be removing the mandate for vaccinations. This will commence from 1 September 2022.
The change in position comes after a two-staged consultation approach:
- TfNSW consulting on its risk assessment; and
- TfNSW consulting on the proposed position to remove the vaccination mandate.
The PSA provided feedback at both stages; much of which reflected the feedback of the membership. Despite the requirement in both the RMS and TfNSW Awards, we are yet to have response to this feedback. Nor has TfNSW advised how this will implemented across the organisation.
The PSA has written to TfNSW and is seeking an urgent response to our feedback.
