EPA Ways of Working Review – Member Feedback Needed
The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has conducted a review of the Operations Division under its Ways of Working initiative. As part of this process, a set of proposed changes has been developed.
The key elements of the proposal include:
- Revised Administrative Support Model – The EPA is proposing to embed Administrative Support Officers (ASOs) in each service zone, changing how administrative tasks are handled.
- Changes to Administration Functions – The proposal separates Divisional Administration and Operations Administration, with adjustments to workflows and responsibilities.
- Coordination and Consistency – The EPA suggests these changes will improve service delivery and efficiency across directorates.
- No Job Losses but Role Changes – While the EPA states there will be no job losses, members should consider whether these changes affect their duties and working conditions.
These are proposed changes, and your feedback is critical. The consultation period remains open until COB, Friday 14 February 2025.
We previously provided feedback on the Ways of Working initiative and received a response from the EPA outlining their position. You can refer to our prior bulletin on this matter HERE for additional context.
We need to hear from you. Do these proposals reflect your needs? Will they impact your workload or working conditions?
