Functional Alignment across Safework NSW

The PSA has been advised by the Department that a functional alignment of Safework NSW is being considered. Project work is being undertaken by the Senior Management Team and we expect that a proposed structure will be put to employees in mid to late July 2024.

Your union, the PSA, will be consulted and we will reach out to members as that occurs.

Laundry Allowance Payment

The PSA is pleased to advise that after discussions with the Department, a review of staff in Safework eligible for the laundry allowance payment has been undertaken. Members should be receiving emails from your employer advising you if you have been identified as being entitled to payment of the allowance.

Once this has occurred, the Department should undertake a review to determine whether retrospective payments are required.
