Members would have received an email from Transport for NSW (TfNSW) advising that the Hybrid Ways of Working policy would once again commence as of 1 March 2022.

The PSA has been assured by TfNSW Executive the policy is not intended to be used a mechanism to direct employees back into the office a specific number of days a week.  The intention is for managers to engage with the team and discuss how it operates and how often it is necessary to attend to work from the office.

The PSA was concerned that, as it was being implemented at a local level, there was room for managers to execute the policy not in the manner intended. As such, we have advocated for a process for employees to appeal a determination. TfNSW is preparing this process currently.

In the interim, if your manager is directing you back into the office a specific number of days a week and there has been no discussion among the team, in the first instance it is best to raise your concerns with your manager.
