The Public Service Association (PSA) has written to Liquor and Gaming regarding issues raised by PSA Member undertaking compliance duties.

We have been made aware of a unilateral decision to no longer apply the dinner meal allowance under Clause 29.1.2 of the Crown Employees (Conditions of Employment) Reviewed Award 2009 and Item 1 – Allowances of Table 1 of Part B, Monetary Rates. PSA is seeking clarification of how Liquor and Gaming are applying Meal Allowances to those undertaking compliance duties, and how and why the decision was made to stop payment of allowance 29.1.2 when staff had been receiving it previously.

Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade Employee Relations have also reached out to the PSA to consult regarding On-Call arrangements for weekdays during Christmas Shutdown, which will impact those working in the Business Services Unit (BSU).

PSA has requested a meeting to discuss issues raised by members to gain an understanding of night and weekend work, as well as remuneration for out of bandwidth work, including appropriate allowances.
