NSW Rural Fire Service Departmental Committee
NSW Rural Fire Service Departmental Committee – July 2017 (PDF version)
As you will have noticed, there have been a number of recent bulletins released from the PSA over the last month relating to a number of issues. The DC has adopted the bulletin process as the main way for communicating with members for a number of reasons, such as, consistency in communication style, a common sender and using up to date membership data. A map of RFS DC electorate regions can be found HERE.
The bulletins, whilst coming from the PSA, are driven by member issues. They are not generic in nature, so please pay attention to their content. The bulletins are approved by the PSA executive, allowing them to have a greater knowledge of issues specific to RFS and assisting in identifying trends and common issues in the NSW Public Sector.
The PSA and delegates would like to remind members about the recent bulletin (found HERE) regarding the Parliamentary Inquiry and the survey bulletin (found HERE). The PSA will be lodging a submission on behalf of members and your contribution to that submission can be sent to (all contributions from members will be strictly confidential).
The submissions received so far have been very informative and will be of great assistance in formulating a submission to the inquiry. This is your chance to tell your story, good or bad, to provide a comprehensive submission to the inquiry. If you are concerned about confidentiality or that details of your story may reveal your identity please make contact with the submissions email address requesting that you would like to discuss the matter. The Work Health Safety team at PSA will get in touch with you.
Please note this email address is specifically for the RFS submission only and the email account will be closed on 24 July 2017.
For action of other specific matters, members should contact the Member Support Centre at or call 1300 772 679.
Regards,
Your DC
