There is a large amount of members due for a pay increment due to changes in the higher commencing salary policy and for their increments in general.
When the higher commencing salary was changed, many members had their increments reviewed and it was approved by HR for them to go up a rank due to their shifts, worked as a casual prior to being made permanent, now being recognised under the amended policy.
The workload this had on Payroll was significant and they were not made aware that such a large of amount of work was going to come in for them to process.
This has then caused a backlog in increments for members in general outside of the higher commencing salary policy.
We have received communication that some members will have their increments paid this pay and others will have theirs payed the following pay.
