PSA MEMBER UPDATE: RELOCATION of EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION & CARE Directorate (ECED) - Public Service Association

PSA MEMBER UPDATE: RELOCATION of EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION & CARE Directorate (ECED)

The PSA is informed that staff engaged in the Department’s Early Childhood Education and Care Directorate in Oxford Street, Darlinghurst and Wentworth Street, Parramatta will be relocating to a new office space at 10, Valentine Avenue, Parramatta.

The Association has been advised that the relocation will take place in two (2) phases:

  1. The Policy and Insight Team, Directorate Support team, and the Executive teams from the Oxford St office will be relocating in mid-June 2020; and
  2. The remaining ECED staff (including staff engaged in Wentworth St, Parramatta) will be relocating towards the end of July 2020.

The relocation will exclude ECED field officers in regional hubs, including the regional team located in the Oxford Street office.

This means that the Oxford Street and Wentworth Street teams will be co-located at the new office space at Valentine Avenue, Parramatta, to enhance opportunities for collaboration across teams.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Association is advised that ECED staff are currently utilising flexible working arrangements, to work from home where possible. The department has assured that these arrangements will remain unaffected by the relocation process.

We understand that correspondence has been sent to all ECED staff in relation to these changes, staff have access to the ECED relocation intranet page with Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) available on that page and there is a dedicated email inbox for queries related to the relocation.

The PSA will ensure we continue to receive updates on the progress of the relocation as it is implemented.
