SafeWork Inspectors – Mutual Leave Fund, Extension of vote to Thursday 23 August 2018
SafeWork Inspectors – Mutual Leave Fund, Extension of vote to Thursday 23 August 2018 (PDF version)
So far, we have had 60 per cent of eligible PSA members participate in the vote on managements request for Inspectors to contribute an additional three days’ sick leave into the Mutual Leave Fund in 2018.
As the outcome of this will have a direct effect on your sick leave entitlements and/or the Mutual Leave Fund, it is important that as many members as possible have their say so the vote has now been extended out to Thursday 23 August 2018.
If you have not yet voted on this issue, please click HERE to access the vote and additional information on the Mutual Leave Fund
The PSA and SafeWork Inspectors Advisory Group will support the majority decision of the members.
Subsequent assignment to role
The PSA is greatly concerned by comments from the Department at our Joint Consultative Committee held on 6 August 2018 that they do not support the use of the subsequent assignment to role provisions in the GSE for Inspectors who may wish to transfer to equivalent roles at grade or lower within SafeWork NSW.
The PSA has written to SafeWorkNSW in support of the use of subsequent assignment and asking a number of questions which have been put forward by members. For a copy of that letter click HERE.
