The PSA has been advised that Department is seeking to install telematics in all DCS pool vehicles (excluding salary packaged vehicles or SafeWork Inspectors vehicles covered by the Memorandum of Understanding).

Why is Telematics being introduced?

In 2021 the NSW Government mandated that vehicle telematics be mandated for general purpose NSW fleet vehicles. The policy is set out in the NSW Government Travel Policy. Information on Telematics can be found at 6.3.1.

The Department is hoping to move ahead with installation in the later half of this year.
