Transport for NSW releases COVIDSafe Measures Policy proposal for consultation
Last Friday Transport for NSW (TfNSW) advised the unions, and employees, of the outcome from Stage 1 of consultation on the review of the COVIDSafe Measures Policy. You would have seen TfNSW are proposing to no longer require vaccination, rather strongly recommend workers keep up to date with their vaccinations.
As part of Stage 2 of consultation on the COVIDSafe Measures Policy, TfNSW is engaging in consultation on this proposal. If adopted it would mean that from 1 September 2022:
- the COVIDSafe Measures Policy would cease to apply, however, safety controls would continue to operate
- workers and visitors will not be required to be vaccinated or have an approved exemption to attend our workplaces
- roles advertised will no longer require vaccination
- Employees not in the workplace due to vaccination requirements would return to workplaces from 1 September, subject to training and compliance requirements.
Consultation commenced on Friday 15 July 2022 and will run until 5 August 2022. You can see the consultation pack HERE. If you transferred from DPIE, your consultation pack is HERE.
