On Thursday 25 January, the PSA attended a consultation meeting on Re-engineering within the Professional Standards Command.
The PSA was presented with an Organisational Chart and advised of affected positions. However, the PSA raised concerns about the adequacy of the consultation process as members had not yet been given an opportunity to have meaningful input into the changes in the Command.
As such, NSW Police agreed to postpone the planned meeting with staff originally scheduled for 30 January. The PSA has been advised of the proposed changes and intends to consult members on the changes and collate feedback at a members’ meeting:
Feedback will then be submitted to NSW Police through the consultation process by COB Friday 2 February. Members wishing to have a confidential conversation directly after this meeting will also be able to do so.
