Safework Restructure November Meeting
PSA and delegates met with management on 21 November 2024 to continue discussions around the SafeWork restructure.
Team Coordinator Roles
Team Coordinator role outcomes have now been completed. Unsuccessful candidates are being encouraged to seek feedback for future opportunities.
Your union raised concerns about Team Coordinator roles and was advised for those State Inspectors (SI) who are on a SI 2 band you should NOT accept your letter of offer just yet and commence discussions with your Manager and Director and Tayla Gibbs as you would be in essence starting at a Team Coordinator (TC) grade 2. You should then receive a new letter of offer with correct salary.
For those at SI grade 1 who are soon to become a grade 2 which would be higher than a TC 1, this will be on a case by case basis in discussions with your Director initially. Communications have been sent out to Directors regarding this as well.
Regulatory Service Officers (RSOs)
SafeWork are setting up an RSO forum to unpack issues. Matters raised by PSA at the meeting (including accountabilities, allocating notebooks, office coverage) will be sent to that forum and discussed by your delegates.
We will meet again on 28 November 2024. Please raise any outstanding issues with your delegates prior to that meeting.
