The PSA and your federal union the CPSU SPSF want to acknowledge the value and recognise the contribution of our members working in schools and the vital work you do every day.
More than any other year you have shown the state how professional, hardworking and integral you are to the school community.
The PSA is again running National School Team of the Year Awards.
We want to recognise and thank school members and the teams they work in (small or large), who work so hard to support students, teachers and parents and to support each other to ensure a fair workplace where workers are supported and respected.
Your team includes all staff at your school who are eligible to be PSA members including SAS Staff, General Assistants, Student Support Officers, Psychologists, Business Managers and other support staff. So join up your colleagues and get nominating!
It’s easy to join online HERE.
Anyone can nominate a team whose members’ contribution should be recognised. Simply give an example in a few short paragraphs of how the team is working to make their school better. Stories should demonstrate the union values of fairness, equality and solidarity.
Nominations close 17 August.
The State and National winners will be announced in PSA Recognition Week.
The prizes are intended to be shared by the team members as a celebration of the contribution of members to their schools and to school students, teachers and parents.
The National Prize is a Red Balloon voucher worth $1500 for the team to spend on a COVID-Safe or virtual group activity with the union members in their workplace.

PSA Recognition Week is coming up soon
Recognition Week is not far away and the PSA will be again promoting the wonderful work you do and encouraging the school community to recognise you and thank you, albeit in a socially distanced way this year.
Back in the early 2000s the PSA launched the first ever Recognition Week. And the celebration is still going strong today!
Recognition Week this year will be from 24 to 28 August. Let your Principal and P&C know the Recognition Week dates so they can plan a thank you.
