Taronga management has advised the PSA that one hour of work time can be utilised to attend a Service NSW office to renew your Working with Children Check.
It is recommended staff discuss and negotiate this with their supervisor to manage their time and work so they take the one hour at the beginning or end of the day to attend a local Service NSW office.
Management has suggested staff attend a Service NSW near the zoos. For Taronga Zoo, the closest offices are the Sydney CBD and Chatswood: both about 20 minutes. For Taronga Western Plains Zoo, the office is in central Dubbo, which is an eight-minute drive.
