Many of you would be aware that Taronga is currently reviewing staff’s entitlement to Additional Annual Leave for working Sundays and Public Holidays. As part of this process Taronga is consulting with the PSA to determine if access to this leave will continue.
PSA has engaged legal advice to clarify the issue and believe there are several arguments for why access to this entitlement should remain.
The matter was discussed at the September JCC and PSA will formally write to advise Taronga of its position. We will update you on how this advice is received and any further PSA action.
Taronga have advised PSA that they will continue to work with us to resolve the issue.
