Community Corrections Bulletin – September 2015 (PDF version)
Workload survey
Members and delegates have informed the PSA that workload pressures are increasingly a problem for Community Corrections staff, in particular for Unit Leaders. It would help us to pursue this issue with management if you could complete this short survey.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CommunityCorrectionsWorkloadSurvey
This will give your union a better understanding and appreciation of the problem and help us in our ongoing discussions with Community Corrections.
It will only take 5-10 minutes to fill in.
Please complete the survey by Friday 9 October 2015
Recruitment and talent pools
Recruitment action and the use of talent pools was discussed at the recent Community Corrections Consultative Committee on 9 September 2015.
The PSA wants business rules developed that will ensure our members do not miss out on being able to apply for roles of interest to them and will guarantee recruitment action and talent pools are used in a manner that is fair, open and transparent.
We have written to the Acting Assistant Commissioner Community Corrections about this and will progress this issue at the Consultative Committee.
What can you do?
