Members would be aware of the recent decisions by NSW Government to abolish the Western Parkland City Authority and the NSW Greater Cities Commission.

The PSA was informed of the actions and briefed by Planning Minister Scully and in turn, DPE representatives before the meetings with staff and the DPE Secretary Kiersten Fishburn on Tuesday 27 June.

This is a ‘lift and shift’ at this stage with the Chief Executives of both agencies reporting directly to DPE Secretary, all other reporting lines will remain the same.

DPE have provided some comfort to staff with an initial assessment that the changes will not involve the loss of roles.
