ATTENTION: ELECTED HSRs
HSR 5 day initial training
Dates: Wed 15, Thurs 16, Fri 17 and Mon 20, Tues 21 February 2023.
Venue: Ballina RSL Club, 1 Grant Street, Ballina
The PSA will be running the HSR 5 day training in Ballina in February 2023
Elected HSRs are entitled to the SafeWork NSW initial HSR 5 day training, which gives them a good grounding in WHS legislation, including understanding of the HSR role and the PCBU (employer) obligations to HSRs.
Completion of the 5 day training also gives HSRs the additional powers to:
- Issue Provisional Improvement notices (PINs) and
- Direct Cease Unsafe Work.
The PCBU (employer) pays course costs, pays HSR as if they were on duty for the 5 days they attend the training, and any other reasonable costs associated with attending. Course fee is $800.00 for the full 5 days.
