IPART Flexible Working Hours Agreement BALLOT - Public Service Association

IPART Flexible Working Hours Agreement BALLOT

It is now time for PSA Members to vote on the proposed new IPART Flexible Working Hours Agreement (FWHA).

In October 2023 PSA entered negotiations with IPART regarding a new FWHA for your agency. Link to that Bulletin here which simply outlines the changes.

The draft Flexible Working Hours Agreement can be viewed here.

And the response to Feedback received can be viewed here.

Due to the advocacy of IPART delegates, and though the consultation period had ended, at the final JCC meeting for the 2023 PSA raised your concerns with Clause 13.2.5 of the draft agreement. The proposed Cl13.2.5 allowed for the denial of Flex Leave to employees when over their Recreation Leave balance, even when Rec Leave has been approved for a later date.

PSA highlighted that sufficient mechanism for managing both Flex and Rec Leave exist in both proposed FWHA and IPART Award. Pleasingly, IPART were very receptive to this feedback, and you will see that the proposed FWHA does now not include Cl13.2.5.

This is further example of the valuable working relationship between your union and IPART and the power of the union to support workers.

PSA recommends members vote YES

The union and your delegates believe the proposed agreement balances the operational needs of IPART, while protecting the work/ life balance of its employees. We recommend members vote YES in support of the agreement.

Prior to voting, we urge you to compare with the previous agreement and cast your vote accordingly.

Only PSA Members have the right to vote in this ballot. We encourage you to discuss the proposed agreement with your colleagues and highlight the value of being a union member.

Follow the link to vote on this agreement HERE.

This ballot will conclude COB Monday 29 January 2024.
