Member update: PSA consultation with NSW Education Standards Authority, Delegate nominations and your new Organiser

The PSA meets regularly with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). Your union is consulted about change processes, which have been undertaken directorate by directorate throughout 2022 and 2023, including the most recent AMEB change plan.

 Formal Joint Consultative arrangements

The PSA also has quarterly Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) meetings, in which PSA staff and delegates meet with NESA to discuss matters of concern and interest to members. The date for our next JCC meeting is 18 May 2023.  If you have any matters of concern that you would like the PSA to raise with management on your behalf please let us know.

PSA Delegates

The PSA would like to take the opportunity to thank Marisa Kelen for her years of dedication and commitment serving as a PSA Delegate and advocating for and supporting the interests of members. We also wish to notify members that we are seeking nominations for more workplace Delegates, so that our PSA members at NESA are well represented across different directorates.

Please see below link for worksite Delegate nomination form link 2023:

What is required is a member to nominate and another member to second the delegate nomination. If you are needing information to complete the form such as your membership number, please contact the PSA.

Your new Organiser

The PSA is pleased to welcome Alison Crittenden as your new Organiser for PSA members at NESA. Alison regularly presents at NESA’s onboarding sessions, to let new staff know that the PSA is their union and to convey PSA membership benefits. She is also keen to set up member meetings to hear your workplace concerns and ensure you are being well supported. These meetings can be on Teams for those working from home or in person, since PSA House is just down the road in Clarence Street. Alison can be contacted on email at  .
