The results of the 2018 People Matter Survey have now been released.
The PSA notes that NSW Police continues to score below most of the Public Sector in some key areas, including the following:
- Change Management
- Recruitment decisions
- Senior Management listening to employees and managing change
- Trust in whether action will be taken by the organisation in relation to the Survey.
This is particularly concerning given the extensive structural change across the NSW Police Force during Re-Engineering. At the recent JCC, the PSA expressed its concerns about these scores and the impact poor workplace culture is having upon our members.
The PSA sought to work with NSW Police to develop strategies and improve workplace culture for our members. The PSA will be meeting with the People & Culture Branch to discuss appropriate strategies to be adopted by NSW Police.
The PSA seeks members’ feedback about the People Matter Survey and any particular areas of concern. The PSA will continue to raise your feedback in a confidential manner during all consultation with NSW Police.
