The NSW Public Service Association has been advised of a review of Planning group business support roles.
The PSA is disappointed with the declining level of engagement from the Department of Planning and Environment. The Department first engaged the PSA with preliminary discussions about a survey, but no details were provided to the PSA until Monday 6 February.
The Department has engaged an external consultancy to conduct the review.
The PSA is concerned that this review, like countless others before it, is a fishing expedition looking to justify further restructures and potentially job losses within the Planning group that management have already decided upon.
It is unclear who the survey is going to, how many staff and how those individuals were chosen.
The PSA will be requesting a meeting with senior management, the consultancy firm, or both.
