Service NSW Restructure Update 20 September 2024
Your union and delegate Trina Leask met with management on 19 September 2024 as part of the weekly restructure meetings.
WE ARE PLEASED TO ADVISE THAT AS A RESULT OF PSA ADVOCACY CONSULTATION FOR WAVE 3 HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 5PM WEDNESDAY 2 OCTOBER 2024
The following matters were discussed:
Team Leads
They have more people than roles so can’t directly appoint. They have a number of people who have been in temp roles longterm whom they haven’t been able to make ongoing. This is not helpful for people in this situation. They concede that Role Descriptions may change as a result of feedback.
Wave 2
Wave 2 continues. There has been a significant amount of feedback. A number of drop-in sessions have been held and they are providing resume and writing skills sessions for staff.
They are also holding functional sessions and answering question through team meetings or individually. Recruitment panels will be announced early week beginning 23 September 2024.
We were advised that Functions are moving from Service Delivery into Enterprise Risk and Enablement and they are focusing on making that process clearer for people.
Wave 3
There has been a Town Hall meeting and closed briefings for staff affected by Wave 3. There will be more local meetings to answer operational questions. Assignment to role and mobility sessions are being held, recorded and put into Sharepoint. There will be 3 more sessions in the week beginning 23 September 2024.
PSA reminds members impacted by Wave 3 to provide feedback to your union as soon as possible by contacting or 1800 772 679 quoting reference number 222602. In the meantime we will arrange a meeting to discuss matters of interest with Employee Relations and Human Resources. Thank you to the two members who have volunteered to attend with us. We have a place for one more member if someone else wishes to attend as well.
