Thank you to all PSA members who assisted in making the rally outside of the Powerhouse Museum a resounding success prior to its closure on Sunday the 4 February 2024.

We rallied to ask for clarity on what the renovations to the Ultimo site will look like and implications to staff. This is because, despite assurances by the NSW Government on transparency following consultation, senior management of the museum still have not provided up-to-date information on what will happen once the Ultimo site closes its doors.

Your PSA will continue to work with the membership and fight to preserve this unique and iconic, cultural institution.

PSA site visits: Parramatta and Castle Hill

Your PSA Delegates Lauren Volk and Dimity Holt, along with PSA staff, attended visits at both the Parramatta and Castle Hill sites on Wednesday 7 February. Several concerns with the accommodation were identified and the union will be collating our feedback over the next week.

We will keep members informed as matters progress.
